It is with a combination of eager anticipation and sadness that I write this open letter to my clients.

On January 13, 2003, I will be assuming a position with the Oakland County Friend of the Court as a Referee. As a result, I will no longer be able to represent individual clients or keep my private practice, effective January 10, 2003.

To assure no disruption in any pending case, I am placing my professional practice in the very capable hands of Steven D. Reinheimer, Esq. In searching for a suitable replacement, I strove to secure an attorney who was qualified to meet the needs of my clients. Prior to leaving private practice, I conducted several meetings with Mr. Reinheimer to bring him up-to-date on all pending cases. Mr. Reinheimer began practicing law over ten years ago and has spent the past three years representing clients in family law cases. He has my unqualified endorsement.

While I have secured Mr. Reinheimer as my replacement, please be aware that all clients are free to choose any attorney they wish to continue their case. You should also be aware that Mr. Reinheimer will be conducting business from the same location and with the same support staff with whom many clients have become familiar. The decision is yours.

All clients were mailed a Substitution of Counsel form that should have been signed and returned to my office in the self-addressed, stamped envelope provided. Those who have chosen not to have Steve Reinheimer represent them should contact the office so that the appropriate substitution of attorney form can be prepared. It is imperative that, regardless of your choice, clients take one of these actions in a timely manner to assure continued representation.

If you have not received one of these forms, contact the office immediately. The phone number will not change for the forseeable future.
